Well, I’m proud to say that I finally made it to page ten. There’s something really cool about meeting this milestone, even though it’s just an arbitrary number. I’ve managed to get pages posted, on time, for ten consecutive weeks. This allows me to start marketing the comic to other venues because it seems that many in the web-comic community don’t consider a work worthy of attention until this minimum milestone has been accomplished. That’s alright, considering how many web-comics seem to evaporate prematurely. In any case, I hope you’re enjoying NODE so far.

Page ten is the beginning of the home stretch for the prologue. There’s not much more before the story plows in to chapter one. I’m anxious to get moving and start exploring aspects of the story other than the conversation between these two characters. The structure of the Prologue is different than the rest of the story, which is fortunate, since it’s difficult to do anything interesting in a comic with a two person dialogue in a closed room for 10+ pages. Hopefully when the book grows, the structure of this prologue won’t misfire, but we’ll see.

I’ll be discussing more about the story itself, once the Prologue is wrapped up.

BTW, it’s 4am and I’m in my hotel room in Anaheim publishing the page. We’re visiting Disneyland this weekend, but I’ve still managed to get the page out. I hope that counts for something other than my slide toward obsession with this project.
